Main activities

The Nutra Advisor will be responsible for:

• Mapping and developing the assigned territory, identifying key specialists in the field of nutrition;
• Initiating, consolidating, and managing qualified professional relationships with healthcare professionals;
• Promoting and scientifically presenting Esserre Pharma products;
• Organizing and managing, in collaboration with relevant company functions, Hospital and Medical Meetings.

• NORTH ITALY AREA: Pavia, Genoa, Turin, Alessandria, Verona, Padua, Venice, Treviso;
• CENTRAL ITALY AREA: Bologna, Rome, Latina, Perugia, Siena, Pisa, Florence;

Ideal profile

The ideal candidate preferably possesses:

• Degree in scientific disciplines (Biology, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Food Science, or related fields);
• Previous experience in a commercial environment; knowledge of the target audience will be considered a plus;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, aptitude for public speaking and institutional representation;
• Results-oriented, proactivity, organizational autonomy, and territory planning skills.

To expand our R&D team, we are looking for a:

R&D SCIENTIST – Botanical Extracts & Product Development, who will contribute to the development of new health products, based on the science of Mediterranean Nutrients.

The role will be key in connecting laboratory activities, product development, and project management, guiding projects from research on botanical extracts to the definition of formulations ready for the market.

The resource will specifically be responsible for:

• Development, optimization, and chemical characterization of botanical extracts and phytocomplexes.
• Qualitative and quantitative analysis using instrumental techniques (HPLC, spectrophotometry, etc.).
• Contribution to the development of innovative formulations based on Mediterranean Nutrients (supplements, medical devices).
• Management and coordination of R&D projects, ensuring timelines, objectives, and deliverables.
• Interfacing with internal teams (regulatory, marketing, supply) for knowledge transfer and product development.
• Support for scientific and documentary product validation (technical dossiers, literature, studies).
• Collaboration with external partners (CROs, universities, suppliers) for research and development activities.

The ideal candidate should preferably have a Degree or PhD in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Industrial Chemistry, or similar disciplines.

Furthermore, the candidate must have:

• At least 3 years of experience in a company (nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, food) or as a post-doc in a relevant field.
• Practical experience in the development and chemical analysis of botanical extracts.
• Excellent knowledge of the main analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, spectrophotometry).
• Proven ability in project management and autonomous management of complex projects.
• A problem-solving attitude, results-orientation, and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

The following will be considered preferential requirements:

• Experience in the development of nutraceutical or health products;
• Knowledge of advanced extraction techniques (supercritical CO₂, ultrasound, microwave);
• Familiarity with regulatory aspects and technical-scientific documentation;
• Experience in technology transfer and industrial scale-up.
