Bergamot (Citrus bergamia) is a Mediterranean citrus fruit typical of Calabria that is harvested from November to February; it is characterized by a rich composition of bioactive molecules, such as flavonoids that represent a wide range of powerful antioxidants present in abundance in the whole fruit. The extract is obtained by processing different parts of the whole fruit. The by-product thus obtained It is then processed and mixed with fresh juice and subsequently filtered, concentrated and dried until obtaining a very fine powder, yellow-brown in colour, with a slightly pungent odour, typical of citrus fruits and a bitter-acidic flavour, very rich in substances beneficial to human health.

We were the first to believe and invest in the beneficial properties of bergamot, in fact, after 8 years of research we patented Brumex® a unique extract of Mediterranean bergamot standardized in HMG-Flavonoids.

Prickly pear (Opuntia ficus-indica L.) is a succulent plant belonging to the Cartaceae family, native to Mexico but naturalized throughout Italy. The plant contains several bioactive compounds, in fact it has a fruit and cladodes rich in vitamin C, carotenoids, polyphenols and flavonoid compounds such as quercetin, kaempferol and isorhamnetin.

The Opuntia extract is obtained from the succulent leaves of young prickly pears collected and processed directly in Sicily.
